The Girl Effect 2

http://edition.cnn.com/2012/10/11/world/gallery/international-day-of-the-girl/index.htmlWe have already seen the short animation produced by The Girl Effect, and below is a newer short animation that has been produced.  There have also been a number of more recent news articles relating to gender inequality and empowering women to aid development.  The BBC has a slideshow narrated by an 18 year old Kenyan lady called Susan Kayongo who explains how she has been helped in starting her own business to gain employment and use her skills.  It was also recently International Day of the Girl, and CNN asked a number of famous and successful women to respond to the statement, “To my 15 year old self: Things I wish I’d known”.  The link will take you to see some of the contributions made.
